Cold War between Bollywood and South Indian Film Industry
There is a cold war between the South Indian film industry and Bollywood since a long time now and it has worsened with the passage of time. There is a lot of rivalry between the individuals involved in it as well. Very lately the South Indian film industry wanted Rajnikant to become the chief guest at the IFFI (International Film Festival of India)
On the other hand, the bollywood specialists believe that if Rajnikanth rejects the invitation then they want Dharmendra to take over and if Rajnikant accepts the invitation then there would be no bollywood celebrity to come on stage with him.
Secondly, the South Indian film industry also wants that the major number of cards should be given to the South Indian directors as they are the ones who make a more number of films every year as compared to Bollywood. There was a meeting regarding the IFFI at the ministry in New Delhi where the South Indian film industry spokesperson L.Suresh took the responsibility of bringing Rajnikanth to the festival…
