Kareena Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor, the two most gorgeous lookers in filmdom would have made a dashing couple had they not shared a blood relationship. But looks like that’s not going to stop Bebo from accepting a role opposite her first cousin. 

From dating a father of two to now stating that she is open to play lover to her first cousin Ranbir, Kareena Kapoor is surely out to create outrage and scandal. 

In a recent interview to a news daily, Miss Size Zero was asked if she would like play a lover on screen to Ranbir Kapoor, she said, “Ranbir is fantastic, he’s a brilliant actor. It’s so in his blood, he’s natural on screen. But I don’t know. Maybe Ranbir and I should do a film. Act as friends, perhaps brother and sister, but as lovers… maybe if the audience wants to see us that way. He’s hot and good looking, the best in the family, and I like interesting and different roles, I like taking risks, I’m ready to experiment. Jab We Met was different from Omkara.” 

Sounds gross right? Well, we don’t know about Kareena but we are not looking forward to this unnatural pairing.

Shilpa Shetty is the new actress to join the Bachchan clan on their unforgettable tour. She could not resist the offer as she is in awe of the senior Bachchan.

But when Big B, who wishes Shilpa on her birthday every year, forget the important day this year, Shilpa was visibly angry  with her idol.

Apparently Shilpa considers Big B as her lucky charm and believes that his wishes every year on her birthday makes her year wonderful.

Amitabh recently wrote on his blog,  “The show is now joined by Shilpa Shetty. She looked lovely as always and very trim. She displayed mock anger at meeting me because I missed wishing her on her birthday. Horrible me.”

Well we along with Amitabh Bachchan wish Shilpa a very great belated birthday.

Katrina Kaif, Lara Dutta, Amrita Arora, Dia Mirza are all going to dance to his hit numbers in order to pay a tribute to him. Now that’s cho chweet ! The actresses are practicing for this at Film City these days, and the tribute will be aired on a television channel. 

“It’s fun,” informs Amrita Arora, “We’re dancing on Akki’s hit numbers. I think he deserves the success coming his way!” 

We’re just wondering if Kat has ever paid a tribute to beau Sallu. But then we guess she’s just being paid big bucks for this one! Dance on, ladies, dance on!

If I had one word to describe the movie and the experience of watching it would say - MEDIOCRE. Right from the story, to performances, to music, to the entire film… everything was mediocre.

The story is about a small town theatre company who gear up and save the nation from the bomb blasts.

In an ordinary situation the movie wouldnt have hurt so much but after watching Paresh Rawal excel in his role in the movie Mumbai Meri Jaan, watching him in MGMA was painful. He is an actor par excellence and roles like these don’t do enough justice to him.

On the whole its a fairly watchable film, it may work for many people but it didn’t work for me.

Saif Ali Khan’s ladylove Kareena Kapoor has been invited by the Nawab of Pataudi to be a part of his family’s annual reunion at Saif’s ancestral village, Pataudi in Haryana.

With this, Kareena becomes Saif’s only girlfriend who has been bestowed with the privilege. This move is indicative of the fact that the Pataudi family has accepted Kareena with open arms and are very much looking forward for her to be a part of their family.

In an interview given to a news daily, Saif confirmed the reports by saying “Yes, Kareena has been invited to Pataudi this December. Our family gets together every winter. Since Kareena is now a part of our family and my parents are extremely fond of her, she has been invited.” 

With reports suggesting that Saif gets along famously well with Bebo’s mum Babita, looks like it is Kareena’s turn now to woo beau’s parents. So for all those who said “This ain’t lasting”, this is some news. What say?

Just watching Shahid shake his leg to Mauja Mauja and Ae paapi makes you feel like getting up and dancing and just when we were waiting to see more of his dance skills, here’s some bad news! 

Shahid Kapoor’s forthcoming film ‘Yahoo’ which is to be directed by Ken Ghosh has been delayed, all thanks to Shahid’s neck pain! Shahid who plays a dancer in the film has been advised not to dance for the next six months owing to his neck pain by the doctor and that has delayed the shoot of the film. 

Our source informed us, “James Martin, an American choreographer who has choreographed Britney Spears’ and Justin Timberlake’s performances in the past has been roped in by Ken Ghosh for the film but everything went for a toss since Shahid is not physically fit! He won’t be dancing for the next six months and thus the shoot of Yahoo is delayed.” 

We tried to get in touch with Ken and Shahid but they were unavailable for comment. 

Shahid will also be seen in Yash Raj’s next with Rani Mukerjee as well as Vishal Bharadwaj’s next called ‘Kaminay’.

This week has been really tough on actress Shilpa Shetty, who is hosting the second season of “Bigg Boss“. First Jade Goody`s traumatic adieu and then item girl Rakhi Sawant`s allegation that a contestant on the show has been changed because of her manoeuvres.

The show went on air August 17 on newly launched channel Colors.

When questioned about Rakhi`s allegation, Shilpa told reporters: “I don`t even want to talk about her. But I was very hurt. I really like Rakhi. Why was she talking this way about me without knowing the facts? How does she know the facts about how contestants were chosen?

“I don`t think it`s right for anyone to shoot off her mouth in this way. You may have an outspoken image that you`re always eager to uphold. But please don`t flaunt that image at my cost.”

“Rakhi takes the cake. What authority does she have to make such charges against me? I`d have Rakhi know that it`s the channel`s prerogative to decide the participants. I`m hired by the channel to do a job. My jurisdiction is to go on stage and host the show.”

Shilpa was also appalled by her effigies being burnt by the supporters of Ramdas Athavale, Republican Party of India (RPI) leader. Athavale claims he was approached to go into the house but dropped because of her manoeuvres.

“It`s the channel`s prerogative to select or reject a candidate. Until two days prior to the show I didn`t even know who was going to be there. The format doesn`t allow the host to know the contestants. Mr Athavale claims he was dropped on discriminatory grounds because he was a Dalit and Sanjay Nirupam was taken instead.”

Amongst the participants this time are politicians Sanjay Nirupam and Rahul Mahajan, son of late Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Pramod Mahajan, as well as gangster Abu Salem`s partner Monica Bedi.

The actress, who won Britain`s version of the show titled “Celebrity Big Brother”, said she wanted to be left alone.

“Why was I being blamed if a candidate didn`t make it into `Bigg Boss`? Why were they throwing stones at the channel Colors` office and burning my effigy? They went on a dharna in Lonavala in front of the `Bigg Boss` house.

“Why me? Every time I`m associated with something people try to use my name for their own purposes. Please leave me alone.”

“I think I should take all this attention as a compliment. But somewhere it does take its toll on my mental equilibrium. We all need to be more responsible about our duties as a citizen. My phone went ballistic on Tuesday.

“I`m in the midst of a dozen things and then to be badgered like this! I`m human and I don`t like my name being constantly used. Don`t hit where it hurts the most. I think they should start auctioning my effigies,” said Shilpa.

She wanted police action against the practice of burning effigies.

“It`s really very sad that known people are subjected to this. It`s very degrading.”

Yesteryear’s golden couple Sridevi and Anil Kapoor are all charged up to set the sparks again as they gear up for one of the most awaited sequels in the history of Indian cinema, ‘Mr India’.

Sridevi’s comeback on the celluloid has been due for long. But it was known all along that Sridevi’s return would surely be a fireworks affair as her husband Boney Kapoor has now insured.

Reports suggest that after winning the hearts of millions with ‘Mr India’, Boney Kapoor is doing some heavy expenditure to ensure that the sequel to this classic film has all the indigents needed for a modern day hit.

The producer is not leaving any stone unturned and is looking at incorporating loads of special effects and is even said to have called in some international expertise for his heartfelt project.

Well, here’s wishing that the sequel lives up to all our hopes.

India is blessed with two unique characteristics: the world’s fastest-growing cellphone market and a plethora of home grown superstars, said the publication, known for its list of world’s wealthy on its Forbes.com. “That has phone makers competing to snap up the most bankable Bollywood stars, hoping their legions of fans will follow.”

Motorola recently signed Abhishek Bachchan, whose celebrity stems from his own acting career - the legacy of his actor father Amitabh Bachchan and the fame of his actress wife, Aishwarya Rai. As recently as March, Bachchan had been the face of LG in India.

Samsung has actor/director Aamir Khan, whose work, the company says, mirrors its brand’s “qualities of innovation, change, discovery, self-expression and excellence in performance.” Samsung has said it is counting on Khan’s popularity to help it double its market share in India this year.

Even the world’s largest phone manufacturer Nokia, which abstains from celebrity marketing elsewhere in the world, has a partnership with Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan that includes TV commercials and sponsorship of Khan’s cricket team.

Sony Ericsson has tennis star Maria Sharapova. Motorola has David Beckham, Danica Patrick, Wyclef Jean and Fergie. Samsung has soccer studs Michael Ballack and Didier Drogba.

And that’s not counting the corps of Bollywood, Cantopop and K-pop stars the companies employ in Asia, Forbes said.

Motorola has used brand ambassadors for about two years. The celebrities “help elevate and build credibility for the Motorola brand and products,” Forbes cited Jeremy Dale, vice president of marketing for Motorola Mobile Devices as saying. The trend is growing as more people around the world acquire cell phones - 3.5 billion and counting - and phone makers realise they need to work harder to sell their wares.

David Beckham frequently promotes Motorola’s RAZR2 while competing abroad. In February, he made a pit stop in Seoul, where Motorola has struggled to unseat Korean rivals Samsung and LG. One local newspaper that covered the event noted, “Beckham Comes to Rescue Motorola.”

Not every celebrity wants to be associated with a phone, even the latest, coolest models. Some endorse phones on the sly, limiting endorsements to companies based abroad. Actor Chris Noth - of “Sex and the City” and “Law & Order” fame - represents LG’s Secret phone in Australia, halfway around the world from his New York home, the publication said.
