She might be romancing Salman Khan in ‘Dabangg’, but when it comes to real life, Sonakshi Sinha is undergoing turbulent times, for the actress has recently broken up with boyfriend Aditya Shroff (programming head of the advertising division of Fame multiplexes).

Talking to a news daily, a source said, “Sonakshi and Aditya were dating each other for over two years. They parted ways two months ago. The couple had a major fight over some internal problem. Aditya’s behaviour really angered Sonakshi and she decided to part ways with him. Moreover, the actress didn’t want her personal life to affect her work. So she ensured the relationship ended on a good note.”

Apparently, both Sonakshi’s and Aditya’s families knew about their relationship. The couple, which spent a lot time together, is still in touch with all their mutual friends.

“Recently, Aditya was seen at many ‘Dabangg’-related events but Sonakshi has now asked him not to be a part of any in future. She does not want the media to see them together”, added the source.

Meanwhile, when contacted, Sonakshi declined to comment on her break-up.

Sonam Kapoor might be applauded for her classy style, but she just diverted a wardrobe malfunction!

The actress, who is going around the city to promote her forthcoming film ‘Aisha’ was left embarrassed when during a press event, her pants kept on slipping off. What’s more is that the young diva had to literally pin-up her pants to hold them at her waist.

Confirming the news, a source said, “After the press conference, when Sonam started to interact with the media, her pants kept slipping off, and she was quite pre-occupied with her slipper pantaloons.”

What’s more is that Sonam didn’t even have the time to run to a restroom to fix her slipping pants. The actress decided to pin up her pants in front of the crowd. “She kept pulling them up again and again, but finally had to resort to pinning her trousers. The crowd was in splits,” adds the source.

Well, considering Sonam is known more for her fashion sense than her acting, it’s only fair that the actress gets her style right.

Soon after it was announced that megastar Amitabh Bachchan will not be hosting the upcoming season of popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, rumours have been rife that none other than SRK is likely to take up the job. However, the channel’s deal with King Khan has now fallen through as the actor has turned down the offer to host the much-awaited show.

Talking to a news daily about the same, a source said, “The channel went all out to get Shah Rukh to host ‘Bigg Boss 4’. They even offered him a larger remuneration than Big B. But SRK could not agree to play host because of lack of time. The dates for ‘Bigg Boss 4’ clashed with Shah Rukh’s shooting schedule for Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Don 2’ with Priyanka Chopra in Bali.”

On the other hand, an insider has revealed that the channel can’t approach Amitabh for the same, as the living legend did host Season 3 of ‘Bigg Boss’, and the channel has a policy of not repeating anchors for show.

“Unfortunately the channel has a weird policy not to repeat hosts on ‘Bigg Boss’. Moreover, by the time the channel officials realised that it was difficult to get a replacement it was too late. Big B had already committed himself to hosting season 4 of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’. So they consciously decided to look for another host,” added the source.

Well, as of now, it’s been confirmed that SRK won’t do ‘Bigg Boss’. Grapevine has it that the channel may now be trying to get Akshay Kumar to play host on ‘Bigg Boss 4’. And the sad part is that if Akki doesn’t agree, the show might even end up having a non-film celeb as host. In that case, we really hope Akshay agrees!

The size zero Kareena Kapoor will be back. Kareena who has gained some weight recently will again sweat out to get into size zero figure. Bebo has experienced several odd instances of rigorous work-out and dieting like collapsing on the set, dizziness and so on. All those incidents did not go well with Saif Ali Khan and he strictly restricted Bebo from going back to size zero. But the actress went against Saif’s wording and started working out rigorously for her next film opposite Imran Khan.

The film in question is Karan Johar’s ‘Short Term Shaadi’ which is an adaptation of Cameron Diaz-Ashton Kutcher starrer ‘What Happened in Vegas’. To match up to Imran Khan’s looks, Karan asked her not only to cut her size but also to short her hair.

Kareena’s decision upset her beau as she has signed the project against Saif’s decision.

Both Imran and Kareena are not reluctant to spill the beams. When asked about the project, Imran quips, “I’m not at liberty to discuss anything about the film right now.”.

She decided it was time to stop putting it off. The actress had Pompy Hans, her personal hairstylist of three years, to tend to her tresses in her vanity van. 

Says a source close to Kareena, “She had been shooting continuously without a break last year except for a short Christmas break with Saif. Since January she has been even busier shooting  for her various endorsements, and films – Stepmom, Golmaal 3, Ra.One and Agent Vinod. She had just let her hair grow which was toubling Pompy. He declared he would cut her hair on the sets itself.

Though Pompy travels with Bebo for her shootings, he hadn’t been able to convince her to give him about 30 minutes to work his magic with his scissors. 

Pompy says, “She has been  busy shooting and travelling but I insisted she had to cut her hair as it had grown too long. We have kept Kareena’s earlier style but just layered it in keeping with the song she’s shooting for G3. She looks the best in this style. Without make-up, she looks innocent and sweet – like she did in her first film Refugee.”

Kareena returned from Morocco last week after shooting for Agent Vinod. She was in Mumbai for the shoot of G3 and left last night for London for the shoot of Ra.One – this time with freshly trimmed ends.

Firstly, it seems that Khan the actor has never been presented like this before. You don’t witness Salman Khan, the clean shaven handsome lover-boy. Instead, for the first time, you come across Salman Khan actually becoming the Character. It’s not Salman Khan but Chulbul Pandey that stays with you once the promo is over. There’s something new in the dialogue delivery, the body language and the whole attitude.

If you loved the action of Wanted, then Dabangg seems to be an outright winner with the Junta that feasts on high octane Herogiri. Action Director of Wanted, S Vijayan, has choreographed some superb action sequences for Khan that whips up a shock-n-awe effect. I can already hear endless loud whistles in the cine hall corridors. Debutante Sonakshi Sinha appears briefly in the first look promo and leaves an impact with a smart filmi dialogue on the vagaries of love. Dabangg releases this Eid.

Ever since Dostana sequel came as a thought to director Tarun Mansukhani, there has been non stop buzz about several things, be it Katrina Kaif’s look for the movie or the continuation of Abhishek Bachchan-John Abraham onscreen jodi. But, the appalling part is that Junior Bachchan hesitant to repeat his role in ‘Dostana 2’. This is because; he is unable to figure out how the movie could be as funny and entertaining as original, which was a huge hit.

He says, “I couldn’t see how Tarun Mansukhani could make it funnier.” Director Tarun assured him that he will write a good script and said Abhi, “You’ll be the first person I’d narrate it to. If you don’t like it, then I’d throw it away.”
Well, Tarun did show his worth. Abhi seemed to have fallen in love with the script and is hoping that ‘Dostana 2’ will make bigger waves.

When someone in Bollywood throws a party, the media and the fans always get a gist of it the morning after. Rumour mills seem to work overtime… and that is putting it mildly! So when the original baby-faced charmer Aamir Khan threw a party for world-renowned musician Gustavo Santaolalla, the rumour ripples were back in action!

It seems the who’s who of the industry was there at the party, including the legendary Mr Yash Chopra. Chopra is thought to have left a script for Khan’s next venture. However, the perfectionist, who is currently promoting his forthcoming Peepli Live, is thought to have kept the script aside for quieter times. Could it be that Chopra is trying to coerce Khan for the third helping of Yash Raj action in Dhoom 3?

Dhoom 3 is set to have confirmed the ongoing characters of Uday Chopra, Abhishek Bachchan and Hrithik Roshan. However, sources close to Khan are denying the rumours outright. Although nothing official has been released, it’s fair to say that Khan would bring the Dhoom series a very different and interesting angle… and, as with every other venture of late, Khan is sure to promise his Midas touch.

While Bollywood actors like Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Shah Rukh Khan and Imran Khan have already reached Johannesburg to watch the World Cup final between Netherlands and Spain, some football lovers from the industry had to give the match a miss.

Anil Kapoor had almost cancelled his plans.

Sighed Anil, “Some work had come up. It looked like I wouldn’t be able to go to Johannesburg, though I had packed and booked seats at the stadium. But, I finally did make it. I am the brand ambassador and this is the biggest sports event,” said Anil as he left for South Africa.

Another football enthusiast, Dino Morea, too seemed unsure of making it to Johannesburg. “I’m in London, all set to go. But my air ticket is not confirmed, if it doesn’t happen, then I’ll just have to watch it on television,” he said.

The model turned actor is a huge football fan. “I play football and I love watching the sport. I was supporting Italy as I am half-Italian. Now, I’m supporting Spain because they have never won the Cup,” he added.

The football fever has never been more pronounced in Bollywood.

Sanjay Dutt left his pregnant wife in Mumbai for the finals. He will be in South Africa with his two non-filmy best-friends.

“I wouldn’t miss the World Cup for the world. I’m the hugest football fan. I place it above cricket in my scheme of joy. I watched the silliest of games in the Cup. For the finals, I had to be here (in Johannesburg),” said the actor.

Dutt is rooting for Spain all the way. So is Jackky Bhagnani, producer Vashu Bhagnani’s son has apparently secured some of the best seats in the stadium for himself and his five friends from Mumbai.
